Rosacea Diet Plan
Rosacea is a chronic skin situation that generally affects Caucasians and people with fair complexion. Rosacea is
mostly associated with the reddening of the face particularly in the center where the nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead are. The disease is
very common in women as compared to men, even though when it strikes males, it is usually more intense. Rosacea usually happens to people
between age 30 and 50 and people believe that people who've them just have a severe case of acne or sunburn. Other symptoms are stinging and
burning sensation, enlarged blood vessels in the face that leads to appearance of red lines, and in serious cases among men, the swelling of
the nose.
Rosacea is still one of the numerous conditions today with no recognized cause. However, several researchers have observed that some factors
such may trigger episodes of flushing that can lead to the introduction of the situation. But one other factor is diet. There are people who have
reported that eating a certain kind of food can lead to flushing, and stinging sensation which can then develop into rosacea.
One substance found in food that may trigger Rosacea is histamine. Histamine can push vasolidation in the system that can increase the effects
of rosacea. Some of the foods that contain histamine or release it are alcohol, cheese, fish, milk, tomatoes, spinach, dried fruits, chocolate,
and so on.
An additional substance that can increase the likelihood or rosacea is Niacin. Niacin or vitamin B3 can encourage prostaglandin production and
therefore blood vessel dilation and flushing. Examples of food rich in tryptophan which the body converts to Niacin are seaweeds, eggs, soy,
spinach, crab, lobster, crayfish, shrimp, salmon, and tofu.
Some people who have rosacea reported varying degrees of sensitivity to meals containing salicylates, observing that those meals seem to
worsen their symptoms. Food with high salicylate concentration include the following: wines, honey, tea, ginger, mint, peanuts, pineapples,
chilli, pepper, raisin, and a lot more.
Diets which are very high in carbohydrates rice, can allow the body to produce insulin. This then produces a substance which induces
inflammation of the skin that can lead to the development of rosacea. Some of the foods that are high in carbohydrates are rice, bread, pasta,
beans, potatoes, rice, bran, and cereals.
