Makeup for Rosacea
Rosacea is known as a persistent skin ailment that commonly has effects on those with fair complexion, usually
whites. Its key attribute is the reddening in the central part of the face area particularly inside the nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin,
inflammation of the affected region followed with expansion of papules and pustules, persistent and noticeable flushing, and visible lines
of blood vessels across the face.
Rosacea is a kind of issue among Caucasians, and in America alone, it can be thought that there are 14 million people who suffer this
disorder. Furthermore, women are almost three times more prone to have this disorder than men. While it is usually a safe issue, it might cause
changes in the appearance of those that develop the condition and could influence their confidence since they may become too aware of what they
look. Fortunately though, those suffering from this condition can utilize makeup products to disguise the effects of rosacea in their face. Here
are some makeup tips that may improve the feel of the facial skin and raise the self-confidence of those that have rosacea.
For starters, clean and moisturize the face using mild products. Do not use rough, harsh materials onto the skin since they could cause
irritations. Also, it is better to utilize less products as possible to lessen the exposure on the skin to potential irritants. In addition, in
case you are unsure of the product you will use, test it on your own arms or neck first before applying it on your face.
Using a green-tinted base is ideal if you have rosacea as it can help correct the skin redness and even out skin tone. For concealers and
foundation, choose those that are oil-free especially if you experience a growth of papules and pustules. The foundation should also match the
person’s natural complexion while the concealer needs to be one shade lighter. Do not use sponge or fingertips in applying foundation since it is
better to utilize anti-bacterial brushes to apply cosmetics to decrease skin itching.
For the makeup, choose mineral powder because it does not have things that can potentially irritate your sensitive skin. Some are even created
to color-correct the redness of your skin. Blushers are optional since people who have rosacea already have lots of color in their skin, even
though there are mineral powder blushers available if using it is a must. There's also mineral powder eye shadow which is recommended should you
have rosacea with eye involvement. Finally for your lips, select people with neutral shade near the natural lip color in order not to stress the
inflammation in the skin.
